I am interested in working as a mentor with 9 th graders through the life skills class and Skillmation.

I was a public defender for 8 years. My experience included representing children accused of committing crimes. When I left public defense, I became a certified mediator and facilitator for nonprofit agencies. During that time, I was the managing attorney for a commercial mediation company and developed mediation training for government and nonprofit organizations. Thereafter, I became an administrative law judge (ALJ) for the Office of Administrative Hearings. I spent 20+ years conducting hearings and issuing written decisions for a variety of state agencies and the public. I am deeply committed to the concepts of equality before the law and the checks and balances on the use of power.
