I have a BS in Math and am a Distinguished Engineer Emeritus with IBM. I worked for more than ten years in the field of radio astronomy with the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (US) and with the Max Planck Institut fuer Radioastronomie (Germany).

I have many years of experience in computer science -- practical and theoretical -- in both industry and science research.
