Served community as local County Extension agent for 25 years- responsible for linking research to local needs- taught Ag entrepreneurship- directed local food and Farm initiative, responsible for Ag tourism and Ag business development, knowledgeable of markets, promotion and linkages.

Served as local TEAM Jefferson Economic Development Council developer and Board member. Have coached and worked with a variety of local businesses. Worked on local water quality and watershed management issues since l988, wrote state's first watershed plan, negotiated statewid Timber, Fish and Wildlife agreement as well as watershed water rights management. Directed statewide Northwest Water Resources Council of 23 top state corporations in partnership with 35 Tribal Nations in collaborative efforts to restore salmon and avoid litigation in Northwest and Salish Sea Waters.
