I studied Business Administration at Peninsula College and earned a certificate focused in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Evans School of Public Policy and Governance Nonprofit Leadership Institute a the University of Washington. Additionally, I have completed the Business Planning Course through the Economic Development Council of Jefferson County and am launching a start-up social purpose corporation, the Community Redistribution Center.

As a Port Townsend City Council Member, I have served on the following committees: General Services and Special Projects, Information and Technology Committee, Welcoming City, Housing and Rules. I chaired the Ethics Code Review Committee and am the current Chair of the Finance and Budget Committee.

I served as a city representative to the Jefferson County Fire District No 1 Joint Oversight Board until annexation passed in 2019, and I sit on the OlyCAP Board of Directors.

I earned a Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities in 2017 and have continued coursework toward earning an advanced certificate. I served on the Association of Washington Cities Board Nominations Committee in 2019, representing the Olympic Peninsula. I am the Port Townsend delegate to City Action Days in Olympia during the legislative session.

I was involved with The Boiler Room for nineteen years, starting as a patron, becoming a volunteer, and eventually serving as a Youth Rep to the Board, in all Board Executive roles, and finally as the Executive Director. I have experience in multiple roles with other nonprofits including Habitat for Humanity, Port Townsend Main Street Program, Northwest Maritime Center, Get Connected Jefferson, United Good Neighbors, the YMCA, Centrum, Port Townsend Rotary, Bayside Housing, Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building, and more. Some of the roles I have filled include volunteer, board member, executive board member, and fundraiser.
