Briefly describe the program, volunteer work, or partnerships you or your organization may offer.
I am happy to talk with classrooms about the business of writing. My experience has been with the traditional, NY publishing route. I don't have experience in self-publishing, blogging, or the vast array of new social media promotion. But I can talk about the process of creating a product that is publishable, and the personal and professional skills that are needed to achieve that goal.

I am also happy to meet with a limited number of students for one-on-one coffee sessions (an hour or so).
You have indicated an expertise in Media and Publishing
I have a PhD in literature from the UW and co-authored two readers' guides (500 Great Books by Women: A Reader's Guide and Let's Hear It For the Girls: 375 Great Books for Readers 2-14). I am also the author of three novels: The School of Essential Ingredients, Joy for Beginners, and The Lost Art of Mixing. I have taught writing classes, worked with editors and publishers, been rejected and accepted as part of my career.
